Got a bout of the hiccups?
While they can be frustrating, there are several simple things you can do to stop them.
Here are several hiccup hacks for the next time you get them:
🌬️ Hold Your Breath: Inhale deeply and hold for 10 seconds to reset your diaphragm.
💧 Sip Cold Water: Slowly drink a glass of cold water to calm the hiccup reflex.
🥄 Sugar Trick: Swallow a teaspoon of granulated sugar to interrupt the hiccups.
🍋 Lemon Bite: Gently bite into a lemon wedge; the sourness can stop hiccups in their tracks.
Most of the time, your hiccups will subside on their own.
But if they persist for hours, consult your doctor to make sure everything’s okay.
